Nordstrom Rack anchors GSQ’s next wave

Nordstrom Rack will anchor this next wave with an approximately 25,000-square-foot store opening in spring 2027. The Seattle-based fashion retailer will offer a curated selection of top brands at great prices.

“We look forward to being a part of the Goodyear community and serving our customers with an amazing offering of great brands at great prices,” says Gemma Lionello, president of Nordstrom Rack. “We’re excited to grow our footprint in the Phoenix market and introduce new customers to the Nordstrom experience.”

Fogo de Chão brings Brazilian steakhouse tradition

Fogo de Chão, the internationally renowned Brazilian steakhouse, will open an 8,460-square-foot restaurant at the southwest corner of Goodyear Way and Bullard Avenue in 2026.

“Arizona has shown tremendous enthusiasm for our authentic Brazilian churrasco experience, and we are excited to bring our premium fire-roasted meats, abundant Market Table, and warm Brazilian hospitality to Goodyear,” says Marcio Bonfada, area director of Fogo de Chão.

First Watch adds fresh daytime dining

First Watch, known for its fresh and innovative approach to daytime dining, will bring a 3,800-square-foot space with a patio, bar and locally inspired mural to the northwest corner of Bullard and McDowell. Set to open in 2026, the restaurant will offer fan favorites including Avocado Toast, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and Million Dollar Bacon.

“We’re pleased to bring First Watch’s innovative daytime dining experience to the Goodyear community,” says Mike Lee, regional vice president of First Watch.

More restaurants and services join the lineup

Also joining GSQ in 2026 are California Fish Grill, which will occupy 2,278 square feet; CAVA, at 2,533 square feet; and Kura Revolving Sushi Bar, in a 3,080-square-foot space. These restaurants expand the culinary mix and bring new flavors to the West Valley.

VEG (Veterinary Emergency Group) will also open a 5,625-square-foot, 24-hour emergency animal hospital next to Black Rock Coffee Bar, providing critical care services for pets across the community.

“GSQ is rapidly becoming one of the West Valley’s premier destinations,” says Joe Pizzillo, mayor of Goodyear. “The addition of these businesses reflects the remarkable growth and vibrancy taking place in Goodyear. Each brings something unique to our city square, offering even more opportunities for residents and visitors to gather, dine and enjoy all that GSQ has to offer.”

The future of GSQ

The 150-acre GSQ mixed-use project, co-developed by RED Development and Globe Corporation, is designed to complement the recently completed Goodyear Civic Square. Once complete, GSQ will feature entertainment concepts, high-end and fast-casual restaurants, specialty retail, residential, hotel and office space, all anchored by national names that see Goodyear as a priority market.

Already announced tenants include Trader Joe’s, Black Rock Coffee Bar and Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, alongside existing favorites such as BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, Over Easy, Shake Shack and The Yard Milkshake Bar. For additional information about GSQ, visit GoodyearGSQ.com.
