Kick off the weekend with patriotic reenactments
Festivities begin on July 3 with historical reenactments and educational presentations from the Sons of the American Revolution. Guests will enjoy musket-firing demonstrations, performances of historical songs using fifes and drums, patriotic storytelling and photo opportunities with reenactors throughout the day.
“The Independence Day holiday is one of our favorite times of year to welcome families to our Hill Country resort,” says Steven J. Smith, general manager at Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa. “Our team goes above and beyond to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere where guests can relax, cool off from the summer heat and celebrate the holiday weekend Texas-style.”

Enjoy the resort’s annual holiday parade and fireworks
On Friday, July 4, the resort will host its beloved annual holiday parade. Guests are invited to dress up in patriotic attire and decorate a wagon or bicycle with red, white and blue flair before joining a festive procession led by the hotel’s recreation team. That evening, the celebration continues with a spectacular fireworks display launched from the resort’s golf course.
Celebrate with a hoedown, Fiesta Night and poolside fun
On July 5, guests can enjoy a traditional Texas-style hoedown featuring live country music and barbecue, and on July 6, a Fiesta Night with a live Latin trio. Guests can also visit an on-site Mr. Softees ice cream truck throughout the weekend or order freshly made margaritas served from roaming Patron bicycles.
Throughout the holiday weekend, the resort will also provide a wide variety of resort programming including a Junior Ranger Experience led by the resort’s on-site naturalist, Ranger Sean. Other highlights include a pickleball clinic, a sandcastle-building contest, a DJ and nighttime foam party at the pool, nightly s’mores by the campfire and movies under the stars.

Experience the Hill Country’s top-rated water park
Guests can beat the summer heat at the resort’s award-winning water park with a 950-foot lazy river, sandy beach and float-up bar, along with multiple pools, a water slide and an adults-only section with a Texas-shaped pool and waterfall hot tub. Guests can also surf or bodyboard on the FlowRider wave simulator, tee off at the 27-hole Hill Country Golf Club, indulge in rejuvenating treatments at the Windflower Spa and savor Texas-inspired cuisine at the resort’s on-site restaurants.
