JINYA Ramen Bar adds authentic ramen experience to the West Valley

JINYA Ramen Bar has officially begun serving its rich, layered and mouth-watering ramen to West Valley diners after opening in November at The Trailhead, a 40-acre mixed-use development at 83rd Avenue and Happy Valley Road. This marks the women-owned franchise’s third location in the Valley.

Bringing authentic Asian cuisine to the West Valley

Contemporary Japanese concept, JINYA is known for its slow-cooked approach to ramen made from broths simmered for 20 hours in-house. The restaurant, which will occupy 3,518 square feet, also offers a customizable menu and a sleek interior ideal for social gatherings.

“After living in Asia for six years, I discovered this concept and wanted to bring the authentic cuisine to local diners,” says Daradee Olson, owner of JINYA Ramen Bar.

Growing dining lineup at The Trailhead

JINYA joins a line-up of other restaurants that have been missing from West Valley developments. Among them are Sparrow, the newest concept from Sky Restaurant Concepts, featuring an Eclectic American menu and upscale craft cocktails in a vibrant and welcoming environment, along with Negranti Creamery with its handcrafted ice cream.

Crust Simply Italian, an East Coast Italian eatery specializing in pizza and other Italian fare plus craft cocktails in a speakeasy called The Raven, will open in 2026.

“West Valley residents told us they wanted more quality dining options, and we are delivering on that promise,“ said Jim Pederson, founder and chairman of Pederson Group, the project’s developer.

The Trailhead continues to expand

The Trailhead is also home to DIP Nail Bar, V’s Barbershop, Pac Dental, Eye Studio Peoria and AZ Vitality med-spa. Safeway serves as the development’s anchor tenant.

Pederson said part of the draw to the development is the quality of tenants. When complete, The Trailhead will feature 140,000 square feet of retail space, plus a 350-unit multifamily housing complex and a new church.

“The other part,” he said, “is the lush landscaping, fountain and other amenities that will make the development a central gathering place for residents and visitors.”
