Walt Disney’s dream lives on: More Disneyland 70th anniversary attractions and savings

Disneyland Resort celebrated 70 years since it first opened and introduced the world to a new concept in family entertainment on July 17, 1955. Dedicated by Walt Disney with the hope that Disneyland would be “a source of joy and inspiration to all the world,” the resort continues its historic 70th Celebration with even more experiences for guests to enjoy this summer and beyond, honoring its heritage as The Happiest Place on Earth.

A magical tribute debuts at the Main Street Opera House

The all-new “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” attraction now welcomes guests inside the Main Street Opera House. This cinematic journey showcases Walt Disney’s life and legacy, culminating in a special encounter in Walt’s office brought to life through the magic of Audio-Animatronics.

Before entering the show, guests will view a heartfelt pre-show film titled “Memories of Walt”, featuring personal stories and reflections from those who knew Walt or were inspired by his legacy.

New exhibits honor Walt Disney’s legacy and imagination

In the Opera House lobby, a new gallery titled “Evolution of a Dream” features never-before-seen art, images and artifacts documenting Disneyland’s creation. A second special exhibit celebrates the history of Audio-Animatronics — from Walt’s early innovations to today’s cutting-edge technology.

Rare film celebrates the Sherman Brothers and a timeless song

At Main Street Cinema, guests can enjoy a short film tribute to legendary Disney songwriters in “So Much That We Share: A Tribute to the Sherman Brothers.” The three-and-a-half-minute film titled “The Last Verse” commemorates the 60th anniversary of It’s a Small World, unveiling a newly written verse by the late Richard M. Sherman. This final addition can now be heard in the finale scene of the ride in Fantasyland.

Hotel savings and anniversary ticket deals available this summer

To welcome as many families as possible, Disneyland Resort is offering a range of promotional offers and savings. Guests can explore current ticket and hotel deals at Disneyland.com/offers, including the limited-time Disneyland Anniversary Ticket Offer, available now through August 14, 2025.

Guests planning longer stays can save up to 20% on select 3-night or longer stays at Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and The Villas at Disneyland Hotel, valid for visits August 17 through December 19, 2025, subject to availability and restrictions.
