My journey with Aesthetic IQ Clinic: Five injectable facial treatments that boosted my confidence

This is the first of several articles where we’ll highlight the treatments and services offered at Aesthetic IQ. We’ll go into deeper dives for each treatment (so be on the lookout for those). For now, let’s get a glimpse of some of the treatments and results I’ve experienced firsthand.

Jeuveau

Like BOTOX, Jeuveau targets and reduces wrinkles through the injection of botulinum toxin type A. However, Jeuveau has a different formula specifically intended for cosmetic use, whereas BOTOX has additional medical uses. As a former recipient of BOTOX, my Jeuveau treatment around my crow’s feet and forehead has produced a more natural appearance, and the results were much more rapid (days, compared to weeks).

The real game-changer, though: my neck bands. These beasties have become increasingly more noticeable and pronounced as I age. Jeuveau has completely diminished these and sent them packing. 

Evolysse Smooth by Evolus

I’d never heard of Evolysse before receiving it, but I’ve since become a fan. Marissa injected this hyaluronic acid dermal filler to help fill in the lines around my mouth, nasolabial folds and chin, where I’ve lost volume over the years. I could see results quickly, and they keep improving over time.

Restylane Defyne

I’ll admit, I’ve long been skeptical of dermal fillers. Mostly, I’ve heard nightmares of filler gone rogue, migrating through the face and causing a myriad of problems. This, however, was not the case for me. Marissa utilized this dermal filler around my under eyes and cheeks, restoring long-disappeared plumpness and adding natural definition.

Sculptra 

One thing I’ve noticed that’s dramatically changed over the past few years is a hollowing around my temples. The loss of volume in this area causes a kind of gauntness to my face that I haven’t been crazy about. Now, my temples feel restored to their natural, more youthful state and this is another injectable that continues to build collagen and improve over time.

Ariessence PDGF 

This may be my favorite treatment out of the five, which is saying a lot, because I love every service I received. For as long as I can remember, I’ve had puffy bags under my eyes — a hereditary trait. I’ve been told by many an injector that there isn’t much that could be done about it because of my chronic allergies. 

Marissa opened a whole new world for me when she introduced platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) to my undereyes. Life changing! For the first time ever, I’ve enjoying the smooth, bagless eyes I’ve dreamed of. 

Aesthetic IQ treatment takeaways

I’ve been nothing if not shocked and awed by the injectables I received at Aesthetic IQ. Part of what enticed me to try new things I would have been more reticent to previously attempt is because of Marissa’s reputation as a renowned injection practitioner.
